| Factor in 3 major hurricanes (and all associated claims) in the last 3 years, a dramatic increase in uninsured drivers (thank you illegal immigration) over the last however many years, and a deflating credit market (good job middle america living outside your means) over the past year....and what do you get? VOILA Insurance companies looking for any and every way possible to nickel and dime the american public. ....rewind back to the 90's Allstate did this very exact thing immediately following Hurricane Andrew, which at the time was the costliest Hurricane ever in terms of property damage, which they bore the brunt of the claims in south FL. They nickel and dimed anyway they could and got some very sneaky legislation passed in many states, South Carolina for example, that made it illegal to even make mention of the insurance company in court when filing suit for civil claims. Which leaves a 20something year old college student in a situation where he has to sue a sweet old churchgoing elderly woman instead of the insurance company who dragged its heels and did not pay medical bills and nickel-and-dimed every facet of the claim. Nope, they get to fight you, the claimant, off with their lawyers, but make it appear as you are suing the private party. Who although was clearly at fault, has done nothing malicious much less brought the suit on. Very clever Fuck insurance companies. Their "people" were just as good at calculating risk 5 years ago, much less 20 or 30 when cars were far less safe. But all of a sudden NOW they are not going to insure people who use their sportscars recreationally in a non-competitive "controlled" environment, and you, along with them, are going to claim it is because of increased "risk" and that WE are the ones trying to put one over on the insurance companies?? No offense, but you, and they, are full of shit. What's going on here is clear as day.
